The colours, the shapes, the structures – they are a kind of changeable architecture, with layers and levels. They’re also a nice, meditative break, a restorative pause.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWith that in mind, I approached this piece. I started by using two separate compositions and cutting them up, re-sewing, reattaching, reimagining them completely, and then building, tier by tier, raw edge appliquéing and cutting in curves and waves.
